Safer Internet Day
Kingscliff High School recognises ‘Safer Internet Day’ with ‘The Flipside’ theatre performance. Safer Internet Day (SID) is an annual, worldwide event held on Tuesday 5 February 2019 to help encourage a better, safer more respectful internet. With this year's theme—'Together for a better internet' Kingscliff High School will encourage students to be Upstanders online to prevent cyberbullying. Safer Internet Day aims to create a better internet by developing four, critical skills, the 4Rs: Respect, Responsibility, Reasoning and Resilience. We encourage parents and carers to discuss these skills with their children as a way of supporting ‘Safer Internet Day’. Respect– I treat myself and others the way I like to be treated. Responsibility – I am accountable for my actions and I take a stand when I feel something is wrong. Reasoning – I question what is real. Resilience – I get back up from tough situations. As
