Year 7 2021 Information Session. Tuesday 3rd March 2020. 6:00pm- 8:00pm in the school MPU. This information session is on the same day as our school infrastructure meeting. We encourage you to come early and hear about the KHS upgrade. It will be held from 3:00pm - 6:00pm in the TLS (Tiered Learning Space) at Kingscliff High. This school drop in information session will allow you to find out more about the upcoming project and view the concept designs. Note: You can drop in at any time during that period, whenever is convenient.    You can then sample some okonomiyaki (Japanese pancakes) in the quad as well as listen to some music prior to the 6:00pm start.

As recently advertised there is no longer a morning session. It has now been combined into a longer after school session from 3:00pm - 6:00 pm in the TLS (Tiered Learning Space) at Kingscliff High.  We encourage all current and upcoming parents to attend this school drop in information session. On Monday 24th February, we will be having a Yr 7 Parent BBQ from 5pm – 6pm in the school MPU. The idea around the BBQ is to provide Yr 7 parents/carers with the opportunity to informally meet their Yr 7 child’s teachers and help support their transition into high school. Yr 7 students are also most welcome.

Please be advised that we suspect that nits/head lice are present in the hair of some students.   Please check your child’s hair for nits/lice tonight using the methods recommended in information from NSW Health (http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/environment/headlice/Pages/treatment.aspx)   If you find any eggs or lice please commence treatment as recommended.   Further information on head lice is available on the NSW Health website (details above) or through the Department’s website at https://education.nsw.gov.au/student-wellbeing/health-and-physical-care/health-care-procedures/conditions/head-lice   We appreciate your assistance in this regard.

This means, Years 7 & 8 will meet and hear messages relevant to them, Years 9 & 10 will also meet, at a different time, hearing messages relevant to them. Senior Assemblies (Years 11 and 12) will continue in their current time. The benefits of this change include: · Shorter meetings · Messages and information will be consistently and more directly relevant · Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) will also be delivered in a more age appropriate manner · Teachers will
