Year 12 Formal – update! costs reduced!   We understand that the COVID-19 situation has resulted in a very difficult year for our Year 12 students and we are doing everything we can to ensure Year 12 celebrate the end of their final year, whilst also adhering to the government regulations in place.    Due to Year 12 Fundraising efforts we are pleased to announce that the ticket for the Year 12 formal will be further subsidised.  The cost per ticket for each student will now be $45. (reduced from the amount of $82 previously advised).   Please note that this amount is due to paid in full by 16 October 2020.  We will not be taking any Year 12 formal payments until the first day of Term 4, Monday 12 October 2020.

Information has been handed out to all Year 12 students today, a copy of which has also been emailed to all Year 12 2020 students and families, which is summarised below: This has certainly been a very difficult year for our Year 12 students and we are pleased to advise that Year 12 students across NSW will be able to celebrate finishing school with COVID-19 safe graduation ceremonies. Fees No outstanding amounts are due to be paid for Year 12 2020 students. Year 12 formal – Tuesday 17 November.  Venue: Fins at Plantation House Thank you the KHS P&C for their kind contribution to the Year 12 formal costs.  This leaves only $82 per student remaining to be paid. This payment is not due to paid until Week 1 of Term 4, no payments will be accepted prior to this date. Payment is due in full by

WAVE Reports for all Year 7 to 12 students for the second half of Term 3 2020 have been posted on the Sentral Parent Portal for you to access and read. We value safety, tolerance, respect, integrity, resilience and honesty. This report is to inform you of the student's performance for the period against these values. Our Parent Portal is located at. http://portal.kingscliff.nsw.edu.au/ This electronic space will be used to provide parents with up to date information regarding the school as well as a portal to access relevant information on your child. Dear Parents/Carers of Year 8 students Further to information provided to students this morning at the Stage 5 Subject Selection information session, the form distributed to students indicated that iSTEM was an Industrial Technology subject. Please note that iSTEM is a new Board Endorsed elective, not an Industrial Technology elective.  Students are only allowed to choose 2 x Industrial Technology electives.  Students may therefore choose 2 x Industrial Technology and iSTEM. On Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th September all yr 7 students attended a Safe on Social session, which revolved around aiding in the protection of student wellbeing, reducing vulnerability to cyber-bullying, and helping students make informed choices about social media. Kingscliff High School has committed to supporting our student population with a comprehensive Social Media Safety Certification Program. This was undertaken with the guidance of Safe on Social Media Pty Ltd. The school started this program as a response to managing the ever-increasing risk of misuse, abuse, cyber bullying and online stranger danger across social media networks. We have a number of comprehensive how to guides and cheat sheets available which parents/carers and all students from yr 7-12 can view on our website.
