It is with great regret that I have postponed our student performance evenings that were set to take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings next week. I am very sorry for the considerable disappointment this will cause for the students involved and their families. This decision was not taken lightly, and was made necessary by the findings of a recent inspection of the basketball backboard structures in our school hall (MPU). They have been found structurally unstable, necessitating the immediate barricading of the floorspace under both backboards pending their removal. This effectively renders our MPU unusable. I will be working with the Department’s Assets Management Unit to have the basketball backboards removed as quickly as possible, and hope to be able to announce new dates for our student performance evenings as early as possible next term. Again, my sincere apologies to all
