Aboriginal Education Advisory Support Team -Thank you and survey links for whole school community
Kingscliff High School community members,
The Aboriginal Education Advisory Support Team focus and frame is around systems and processes in regards to Aboriginal Education at Kingscliff High School.
As you will be aware Kylie Lacey, Network Specialist Facilitator, Moree / Tamworth and myself spent two days last week at Kingscliff High School talking to members of the school community about what is working well in Aboriginal Education at Kingscliff high School and what could be strengthened in relation to the delivery of Aboriginal Education and ensuring cultural safety and inclusion.
We wish to thank members of the community, students and staff who willing gave their time to speak with us and share their thinking and experiences in this space.
We were particularly impressed with the students, their ideas and their deep thinking around this subject. The whole school community should be rightly proud.
I would also like to call out Daniel Matthias whose amazing organisation and interpersonal skills meant we and everyone we spoke to felt safe, welcomed and valued.
We understand that we missed some members of the community and I will be returning on 4 June 2021 to Kingscliff High School to meet with any other members of the community, staff or students who have not yet had an opportunity to talk with the team. Kylie Lacey will beam in remotely as she has other prior commitments. Please contact the school to organise a time on that day to meet. We are also happy to do this via phone if it is easier.
In the interim, you may like to complete the anonymous online survey below using the link which represents your group.
