Covid update 26/8/21
No doubt everyone has heard that the current lockdown including regional NSW has been extended until 10th September, which will keep our school, along with every other school in the state, under current Level 4 restrictions until the end of Week 9 of this Term. All of our families are encouraged to continue supporting their students in engaging with the flexible learning provided by their teachers, which can be completed at home.
Please continue to contact your student’s Year Advisor either via phone or email, if you need any further support.
Families with students in Years 11 and 12 will be aware that the current lockdown has impacted on scheduled exams this term. We will be working through this as follows:
Year 12 Trial HSC exams impacted by the current lockdown will be completed online as indicated earlier this week. I will be meeting with Year 12 via Microsoft Teams to discuss these exams and other issues related to their final weeks as Kingscliff HS students tomorrow from 1:50. The link to this meeting is being shared by the Year 12 Advisor, Mr Colpitts.
Year 11 exams, beginning at the start of Week 9 (Monday 6th September) will now be conducted on line as “take home” papers, with similar organisation to the above Year 12 exams. I will be meeting with Year 11, again via Teams, to discuss this on Monday from 11:30. The link to this meeting is being shared by the Year 11 Advisor, Mrs Levi.
Students in Years 11 and 12 are strongly encouraged to join their respective Teams meeting.
