Education week activities

“Education Week is right around the corner. Education week is a state wide yearly event that’s held on the first week of August to celebrate the achievements of public-school education.

Every year, education week has a theme. This year’s theme is Student Voice – “Every Student, Every Voice”. It is a celebration of student empowerment and gives students the skills and opportunities they need in order to have and express a voice during their educational journey.

As part of Kingscliff High’s celebration, we are holding a “Voice Café” on Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th of August. The Voice Café is a fun interactive experience held during recess on these days. The SRC and staff members will be running activities such as Graffiti Wall, a Wishing Tree, a Wellbeing booth, and a Photo Booth. Here, in the MPU, there will be refreshments provided – hot chocolate and biscuits! There is also a Ballot Box activity in the library, where students can let the school know about the issues affecting them the most throughout education week.  These activities are designed to enrich student voice at Kingscliff High School and empower students to express their voice in our school.”
