Year 9 Science students will further their experiences in Astronomy, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Working Scientifically skills will be further explored and consolidated through class activities, primary and secondary investigations. Students will plan and conduct a scientific investigation with the Scientific Report being submitted as an assessment task.
3 March 2020 – Year 9 students have been issued with the notification for Assessment Task 1 – Practical Task. Students are to bring pencils, a ruler, an eraser, a protractor and a calculator. Parents/carers can assist students by ensuring students have the correct equipment and have revised the relevant content for completion of the task. The notification can be found here.
BIG SCIENCE Competition – Wednesday 20 May 2020
All students are encouraged to participate in this event. Cost is $8 and can be paid at the Front Office or online (description – Big Science) by 20 March 2020. If you have any questions please see your Science teacher or Mrs O’Keeffe, R/HT Science.
