Upstander Day 15/3

The National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence is Friday 15 March 2019. Kingscliff High School is committed to reinforcing our anti-bullying and non violence message to all students by holding our annual UPSTANDER DAY.

Students in years 7-10 will be involved in a number of activities and workshops.

In response to student feedback – movement and mindfulness will be a big part of our Upstander program this year, as well as the creation of a Kingscliff High School ‘Upstander Banner’.

What to bring?

– any student with an Upstander T-Shirt from previous years, can wear it on the day.

– all students must come to school with a pen to write with.

– students may bring a yoga mat for the mindfulness session and can drop it off in the MPU in the morning, just make sure their name is on it.

– movement activities will be part of the day. Girls may wish to bring a spare pair of shorts in their bag to change into.

Further information will go home with students on Wednesday for parents/carers. Any parent/carer wishing to withdraw their child from the Upstander program will need to return the slip attached to the information note or contact the school before Friday 15 March.
