Weather conditions

The Bureau of Meteorology has indicated that minor flooding is possible on the Tweed River and that areas of the far north coast could experience heavy rain between 75 and 150mm. While this is certainly a cause for concern, Kingscliff High School will remain open today and tomorrow, by which time there is an expected easing in weather conditions. Our latest information regarding bus transport is that Surfside buses will continue to run, although there could be disruptions to some routes, while J&B buses will not be running today.

Parents are advised to monitor the following in order to make an informed choice regarding their children’s safe attendance at school this week:

· Kingscliff HS Facebook & website

· Bureau of Meteorology website

· Surfside & J&B buses website

Tomorrow (Friday) morning, we are hoping to run a shortened Swimming Carnival for competitors only at Kingscliff Pool. This event will proceed in the event of continued rain, but not if there is thunder or lightning
