Years 7 – 10 Formal Academic Awards
It is with great regret that, this year, we will have to comply with COVID-19 safety regulations and not have what has become our traditional Formal Academic Evening for students who have achieved academic excellence in Years 7 to 10.
Instead, we will hold daytime Assemblies for Years 9 and 10 on Thursday 10 December followed by Years 7 and 8 on Friday 11 December, during which students will be acknowledged for their academic and sporting achievements this year. Due to the disruption caused by the ‘learning from home’ period during Terms 1 and 2, it has not been possible to consistently rank student achievement across all of our courses, leaving us with no alternative but step away from our traditional acknowledgement of a “Top Ten’ academic achievers in each year group.
Unfortunately, we will also not be able to invite parents to these events. I am very sorry for the disappointment this will cause many of our families, and I certainly hope that we will be able to return to our traditional celebrations of academic excellence next year.
